On the eve of the 2015 Holiday Bowl game between USC and Wisconsin, head coach Clay Helton addressed both local and national media in the formal pregame coaches' press conference on Tuesday. Gracious for the wonderful hospitality shown by the Holiday Bowl staff and committee throughout the Trojans' week in San Diego, Helton also discussed he and his team's eagerness to face a tough opponent on Wednesday night.
"After watching the tape I've been so severely impressed with how [Wisconsin] plays defensively. Without question one of the better units that we've faced all year, especially when you talk about a bunch that only gives up 13 points a game," said Helton. "Obviously to be in our second Holiday Bowl, one of the most premier bowl games in the country, it's exciting for us. I think it shows progress. It can really be a great jumpstart to our season next year and we're so glad to be playing such a quality team."
