USC men's basketball season is only nine days away and optimism is high as head coach Andy Enfield returns his entire young core with the additions of freshmen big men Bennie Boatwright and Chimezie Metu. While Boatwright is a skilled shooter at 6-foot-10, Metu is a dynamic athlete at 6-foot-11.
Click here ticket and schedule info. Metu, originally from Nigeria, was a prized recruit out of Lawndale HS because of his 7-foot-2 wingspan. The freshman has a standing vertical leap of 33-inches, and he can touch 12-foot-2 on the backboard, giving the Trojans a legitimate rim protector.
