USC AD Pat Haden announced on Sunday that USC head coach Steve Sarkisian will take an indefinite leave of absence, and USC offensive coordinator Clay Helton will take over as the interim head coach. Sarkisian did not show up to practice on Sunday and when Haden called him it was clear that he "is not healthy."
Haden and Helton spoke with the players immediately after practice. Haden said that the players expressed their concern for Sarkisian and their support of Helton as the interim head coach.
