After a hard-fought, 3-1, victory over No. 5 Washington on Sunday, the USC women's volleyball team, now ranked No. 1, is one of just three undefeated teams left in the nation. Clinching their 16th straight victory was no easy task for the Trojans who battled through 27 tie scores in the fourth set before defeating the previously unbeaten Huskies for the first time since 2012.Click here to check out the SnappyTV highlights from Sunday's match.
The Women of Troy were led by seniors Samantha Bricio and Alicia Ogoms with 27 and 12 kills apiece. Bricio also served three aces and had 16 digs in the match for her sixth double-double of the season. She is now fourth in USC's all-time career record book for kills with 1,695. The Trojans out-hit the counference leading team for hitting percentage .227 to .143 in the exciting game.
Red-hot USC takes a trip to the Rocky Mountains next, facing Colorado on Friday at 7 p.m. PT and Utah on Sunday at 12 p.m. PT. Friday's game will be broadcast on Pac-12 Networks.
