Tied 0-0 at the half against No. 15 Arizona, the USC women's soccer team was looking for a spark. For the team that attempted just six shots in the first '45, the breakthrough finally came came from senior forward Jamie Fink who scored the Trojans' first goal in the 57th minute. The senior would score again in the 86th minute, but not before USC leading scorer Sydney Johnson found the back of the net at the 80-minute mark. The game was Fink's first multi-goal outing of the season and the first of any Trojan this year in the run of play.
The Women of Troy's 3-1 victory over the Wildcats advances them to 9-4-1 on the season, with a 4-1-0 record in conference. The Trojans are currently third in the Pac-12 behind Stanford and Washington State, and share the same in-conference record as the Cougars.
