The Trojans had five active players on Sunday, but it's all about the head coach.
The Best
Pete Carroll, Head Coach, Seahawks - Back-to-back NFC titles
As most USC fans know, Carroll is fond of saying that games can only be won in the fourth quarter, and Seattle certainly left a lot of work to do trailing 16-0 at halftime. But, the Seahawks pulled off a minor miracle starting with a perfectly executed fake field goal and then later a successful onside kick. As has so often been the case in the past 15 years, the game ended with Carroll hopping around the field with a beaming smile on his face after an overtime touchdown sealed Seattle's spot in the Super Bowl. He is now one win from becoming the first ever head coach to win two national championships in college football and two more in the NFL.
