USC men's basketball alum Taj Gibson, the 2009 Pac-10 Defensive Player of the Year, turns 29 today. While he has gone on to fame and fortune in the NBA with the Chicago Bulls, he was always the underrated warrior at Troy.
He had many signature moments in Cardinal and Gold, including dominating North Carolina in the Sweet 16 as a freshman and going 10-for-10 in an NCAA Tournament victory over Boston College, but perhaps most memorably, he shut down James Harden one-on-one to seal Pac-10 Tournament title.
