USC women's sand volleyball defended its AVCA Pairs National Championship in impressive fashion as senior Kirby Burnham and freshman Sara Hughes buried the competition on the Alabama beach.
In three short seasons, the Women of Troy are positioned as a power program in the sport with two AVCA trophies already filling up Heritage Hall. While head coach Anna Collier is still building to the team title, the Trojans have the most elite talent in two-time champion Kirby Burnham and phenom Sara Hughes.
