While the wins are all that counts as USC pushes for its first postseason berth since 2005, the nature of last week's victories create the feeling that something special is happening within the program. The Trojans blanked UCLA 10-0 on Thursday behind ace Wyatt Strahan, who has pitched 20 consecutive scoreless innings, and then followed up Friday by eeking out a 3-2 win thanks to some strong bullpen work by Kyle Twomey and closer Kyle Davis.
Saturday's triumph will linger on both sides of the city. USC trailed 4-0 entering the 9th inning before rallying for seven runs in the final frame and leaving the Bruins in stunned disbelief.

The Trojans are now 24-17 on the season, and 12-9 in conference, which ties for third in the Pac-12.
