Hoey was selected based on his team-leading 70.59 stroke average per round as well as the seven Top 7 finishes he posted this season. He will be the fourth Trojan to compete in the Palmer Cup joining Brian Hull (1997), Jamie Lovemark (2007) and Europe's Tim Sluiter (2008 and 2009).
