DeRozan has led the upstart Toronto Raptors to first place in the Atlantic Division, and barring an epic collapse, he will play in the postseason for the first time in his career. He is averaging 22.9 ppg, 4.5 rpg and 3.9 apg on the season.
The Chicago Bulls are also surging up the standings with Taj Gibson at the center of the effort. He has scored in double figures in 12 consecutive games (Bulls are 9-3 in the last 12), and the former Pac-10 Defensive Player of the Year had five double-doubles in that span.
Finally in Orlando, the Magic are suffering through a rebuilding campaign, which has given Dewayne Dedmon a third chance to enter the league this season. He signed a 10-day contract to team up with Nikola Vucevic, who is averaging a double-double (14.1 ppg and 10.9 rpg) on the season.
Nick Young missed most of February with a knee injury.
