No. 9 USC women's basketball led the 8-seeded Red Storm for the first 37 minutes in a game that turned into a foul fest down the stretch. Despite falling behind by three, Ariya Crook drilled a clutch three-pointer to tie the game with 1:19 to go. After a stop, Cassie Harberts, who was saddled with foul trouble most of the evening, saw her potential go-ahead bucket spin out.
Briana Brown delivered the dagger with 0.4 seconds left on the clock to create the 71-68 final score. However, the Women of Troy literally fought to the last tick of the clock as Brianna Barrett, who scored a career-high 24 points, heaved a half court shot off the backboard and then the front rim.
