Seattle dominated Denver led by Super Bowl MVP Malcolm Smith who is the third Trojan to take home the award joining legends Marcus Allen (who delivered the Lombardi Trophy to the Seahawks tonight) and Lynn Swann. The Smith brothers, Malcolm and Steve, are the seventh set of siblings to each win a Super Bowl.
Pete Carroll became the third head coach to win an AP National Championship and a Super Bowl, and he is the first to do the BCS-NFL double.
