Monday marked what would have been Rod Dedeaux's 100th birthday. The legendary manager led USC baseball to 11 national championships.
At the field which already bears his name, Dedeaux was immortalized on Sunday as a statue of his likeness was unveiled before the Trojans defeated Northwestern to complete a season-opening three-game sweep.Â
Here are the John McGillen photos of the unveiling featuring USC president Max Nikias, athletic director Pat Haden, close friend and former Dodgers manager Tommy Lasorda, future Hall of Fame pitcher Randy Johnson, senior associate AD Don Winston, head baseball coach Dan Hubbs and his son Justin Dedeaux.
