Redshirt junior Buck Allen was named one of 20 semifinalists for the Maxwell Award for the Collegiate Player of the Year. The running back has run for over 100 yards in six straight games and is the only player in college football to have over 100 yards from scrimmage in all nine games this season.
Defensive end Leonard Williams was named one of 20 semifinalists for the Chuck Bednarik Award for the Outstanding Defensive Player of the Year for the second consecutive year. The junior leads the Trojans in sacks (4.5) and is second on the team in total tackles (54).
Three finalists for each award will be announced on November 24, 2014.
