Game: Calvert wants the ball and she has a scorer's mentality but USC is expecting her to be the "X" factor meaning they need her skills in all aspects of the game. Look for Calvert's number to be called on in any one-on-one situation as she has the explosiveness to get to the basket, but the young freshman is still learning to be picky in choosing the best shots.
Prep Career: The five-star recruit was ranked the No. 16 prospect in the nation by ESPN HoopGurlz after earning All-State and All-Region honors all four years. She holds her high school's record for most steals in a single game and put up 39 points, 10 rebounds and seven steals in a game during her senior year. She was also named to the State All-Tournament team and is a two-time District MVP.
To Quote Calvert: "I fit into [Coach Cooper's] system because I'm a slasher and I get to the basket, a lot of one-on one stuff. That's what she likes and that's the type of player I am. I love learning from her because she's the greatest and I only want to learn from the best."
