Meet Chyanne Butler

Name: Chyanne Butler

Position: Guard

Class: Freshman

Size: 5-foot-6

Age: 18

High School: Junipero Serra (Costa Mesa, CA)

Game: Don't blink or you might miss the speedy Butler. At only 5-foot-6, the young guard makes up for it with tremendous quickness and an extreme ball handling ability. Her speed isn't just as she navigates the court, but it's also seen in her defense with her ability to pick the ball from literally anyone. The young freshman is learning how to be more vocal in order to truly succeed at the point guard position.

Prep Career: Butler was named the Daily Breeze's 2014 Co-Player of the Year after her senior season in which she averaged 17 points, 3.8 assists, 4.7 rebounds and 3.3 steals per game. She also earned All-State First Team honors as well as the Del Rey League MVP.

To Quote Butler: "I'm just excited because I want to win. And, we are winners...In any position that coach puts me in, I just have to try my best and go as hard as possible to help my team win."
