He led his Village Christian team to a 27-5 record as a junior and averaged 18.0 points, 9.6 rebounds, 3.2 assists and nearly a block per game. He scored 30 or more points four times, including a season-high 33 points vs. Grant High. Boatwright made 85 three-point baskets last season and posted three double-doubles.
Boatwright had offers from schools all over the country, including Kansas, UConn, Arizona, UCLA, Gonzaga, Ohio State and Washington.
