USC football officially announced the addition of Texas Tech transfer Delvon Simmons along with 19 walk-ons to the 2013 roster. Simmons is a 6-foot-6, 300-pound defensive tackle, who must sit out the upcoming season due to NCAA transfer rules.
Also of note...
OL Abe Markowitz was granted a sixth year and will return to the program as a walk-on. He started two games last season, and appeared in 11 of 13.
New TE John Yohe is the team's oldest player. The 28-year-old was formerly a Marine deployed in Afghanistan for three years serving as a platoon commander, fire direction officer and joint terminal attack controller. He was a three-sport athlete at the Virginia Military Institute and has one year of eligibility left.
Freshman TE Christian Guzman from Desert Hot Springs has received some local press for his big move to USC.
