All-American Addition on the Track

Along with recruiting an all-star coaching staff, Caryl Smith Gilbert is already bolstering the program's roster with the addition of All-American sprinter Alexis Faulknor, who is transferring in from the University of Central Florida. Faulknor will be eligible to compete this season as a sophomore.

The former Serra standout returns to Los Angeles after capturing two gold medals in the Pan American Junior Championships in Colombia. She won the long jump for Team USA, and then contributed to a first place finish in the 4x100m relay.

Faulknor was a high school star in Gardena.
