Led by two-time All-American libero Natalie Hagglund and Pac-12 Freshman of the Year Samantha Bricio, USC women's volleyball is primed for another postseason push in 2013.
The Women of Troy have a strong core with the two stars supported by junior setter Hayley Crone and senior middle blocker Alexis Olgard. On the outside, veterans Sara Shaw and Emily Young will complement the firepower of Bricio plus keep an eye on freshmen hitters Elise Ruddins and Ebony Nwanebu, who lead the No. 2 ranked recruiting class in the country.
"I think at least half of our freshman group needs to make contributions for us to be as good as we want to be this season," said head coach Mick Haley. "We can get point scoring from Nwanebu and Ruddins. They can contribute at the net right away."
