George Bartlett Ambrose, a former USC sports information director and track manager, died at the age of 89 Sunday in Torrance. Ambrose received USC's Heritage Award for lifelong contributions to the Trojan track and field program in 2005.Click here for more.
During his term as sports information director from 1963-67, he helped guide the Heisman winning campaign for Mike Garrett. After leaving Troy, he remained involved and supportive of USC track and field to the day he died.
