USC QB Matt Barkley and rowing captain Melanie Grindle were named the Tom Hansen Conference Medal Winners awarded annually to the outstanding senior male and female student-athletes at each member institution based on the exhibition of the greatest combination of performance and achievement in scholarship, athletics and leadership.
