Annie Park, the National and Freshman golfer of the Year who helped USC win its third NCAA women's golf title while also claiming the NCAA individual title for her fourth victory of the season, is one of 12 female athletes vying tonight for the Collegiate Women Sports Awards Honda Cup, which will be announced live during a 5 p.m. broadcast on ESPNU from USC's Galen Center. The Honda Cup recognizes the nation's most accomplished female athlete in 12 intercollegiate sports.
Park, who enrolled at USC a semester early, capped a glorious run by winning the 2013 NCAA Women's Golf individual crown by six strokes, following postseason wins at the NCAA West Regional and the Pac-12 Championships. She is one of only two women's golfers ever to sweep her three postseason events.
Park is USC's 15th overall Honda Sports Award winner and is trying to become USC's third national winner. Cheryl Miller, arguably the top women's basketball player of all time, won the national honor in 1984 while Angela Williams, a four-time NCAA 100-meter champion, won the award in 2002.
