Thompson, the lone active player from the league's inaugural season in 1997, is a four-time WNBA champion and eight-time all-star, and now plays for the Seattle Storm. The Trojan All-American was the first overall pick in the first WNBA Draft.
Ebony Hoffman, a 2004 USC graduate, hoops it up just down the street for the Los Angeles Sparks, while Shay Murphy plays for the Chicago Sky. Heading into her second season, Briana Gilbreath is the newcomer of the group, and she will suit up for the Phoenix Mercury.
