Smith Leads Trojans to NCAAs

Thanks to an inspiring performance by senior Sam Smith, who tied for first to win his first collegiate tournament, No. 13 USC men's golf is headed to the NCAA Championships (May 28 to June 2 in Atlanta) for the seventh consecutive year after finishing fourth at the NCAA Regionals in Pullman, Wash.

"After what is always a stress filled week, we are extremely happy to be moving on to nationals," said USC seventh-year head coach Chris Zambri. "It is great to see Sam Smith get his first win. He has been a great Trojan, a real leader. We need to get better between now and nationals in order to make a splash there. We can do that."
