The sizzling Santamaria has won 21 consecutive singles matches heading into the NCAA Sweet 16 this week, and she was undefeated in dual match play, including 9-0 in the Pac-12. Alongside Christian, Santamaria is a perfect 32-0 this season in doubles as the pair has won back-to-back Pac-12 and ITA Indoor championships.
While Gallien was named conference coach of the year for the fourth time in his career, Santamaria becomes the fourth Trojan to earn Pac-10/12 Player of the Year joining Nicole Leimbach (2005), Lindsey Nelson (2007) and Maria Sanchez (2011). Santamaria joins senior Danielle Lao on the All-Pac-12 first team, while Zoe Scandalis earned second team honors.
