Grindle is a tremendous example of an all-around student-athlete. She received a Pac-12 postgraduate scholarship as well as the Tom Hansen Pac-12 Medal after making all-conference academic teams each of the previous two seasons. Athletically, she started as a walk-on, but has pushed her way to the bow position in the Pac-12 varsity eight champion boat.
Grindle has commanded the bow seat (forward part of the hull) for the previous two seasons.
