Along with getting a preview of the 2013 USC football team, the Trojan Family can help do some good this weekend by purchasing tickets for the annual Spring Game at the Coliseum (Saturday at 1 p.m.). All proceeds from ticket sales will go to the Central City Community Outreach fund, which helps families and kids living in the Skid Row area of Los Angeles.
Head coach Lane Kiffin is urging fans to provide for a community program that has had a relationship with USC Athletics for years, and needs Trojan support to continue all the great work it does for those in need.
"We are very pleased to provide the proceeds from our Spring Football Game to the Central City Community Outreach fund," said Kiffin. "Over the years, the USC football program has been involved in various capacities with the Central City Community Outreach organization. All of us, from the players to the coaches to the staff, have been very impressed with how they have effectively touched the lives of children in the Skid Row area of Los Angeles. This is a time of particular need for the organization, so we are happy to help them advance their mission. Further, I would urge Trojan fans to go to their website and make an additional donation."
If you have not already received your Spring Game tickets, purchase them here or for $10 at the stadium box office. Students and kids are in FREE, so the head coach is encouraging them to pack the house in this video message.
