Opening Round Statement

No. 1 USC women's golf set a sprinting pace at the Pac-12 Championships in Valencia by posting an impressive 8-under round as a team to lead the tournament by 10 strokes after day one of three. The Women of Troy were led by Sophia Popov who shot 66 to lead the individual field.

Freshman Annie Park is 2-under in second place behind Popov, while five Trojans are in the top 10.
