The action starts this week with men's and women's tennis. The Women of Troy are looking for a season sweep over the Bruins on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at Marks Stadium, which would add 2.5 more points to USC's total. The men can make an even bigger dent with a Friday win in Westwood by taking 2.5 points off UCLA's total and adding 2.5 more to USC.
To simplify, if both tennis teams get the job done this week, the standings would be dead even.
Also this week at UCLA, USC women's water polo will go for a regular season sweep. If the Women of Troy can pick up a victory in conjunction with the aforementioned tennis success, the Trojans would be in front.
Of course, the series is far from over. USC men's and women's golf and women's rowing have yet to meet their crosstown counterparts. And, 10 points will be on the line at the Dual Meet on April 27 at the Loker Track Stadium.
