In last year's Olympic semifinal in London, Spain and Hungary battled for a spot in the Gold Medal Match. While Hungarian goalie Flora Bolonyai fought to keep her team in it, Spanish phenom Anni Espar was the difference on the night with four goals in a 10-9 win.
Less than a year later, Bolonyai and Espar are fighting the same fight as leaders of the undefeated Women of Troy. As No. 1 USC women's water polo prepares for its biggest home match of the season (Saturday at 4 p.m. vs. No. 2 Stanford), the Olympians talked about their budding friendship and pushing each other to greatness.
