Defending the Crown

Women's tennis surprised the Pac-12 by taking the conference title last season, and the Women of Troy have no plan to give it back in 2013. USC defeated Stanford at Marks Stadium Saturday for the first time since 2009 to move to a perfect 6-0 in Pac-12 play.

The previous day, the Trojans took care of Cal as they continue to surge with nine consecutive dual match victories. They finish the regular season with road contests at Arizona State (Friday), Arizona (Saturday) and Oregon (April 14) before a home finale against rival UCLA (April 18).

The match in Tempe could be the regular season conference decider as the Sun Devils are undefeated (5-0) as well.

Gabriella DeSimone clinched the victory over the Cardinal.
