Santamaria and Lao have been engaged in a battle for the top spot at USC all season, which, as it turns out, is also the same discussion for the nation's best player. Both players are undefeated in singles play this season.
The Women of Troy have the week off before hosting San Diego State on February 20.
Santamaria is also part of the nation's top ranked and unbeaten doubles team with Kaitlyn Christian.
