Still only 37, Wilcox is considered a rising star in the coaching business having already served as the defensive coordinator for Washington, Tennessee and Boise State. In his most recent stop with the Huskies, he inherited one of the worst defenses in college football and immediately improved the unit to rank Top 40 nationally in total defense, scoring defense and pass defense.
Tuiasosopo is another promising young assistant with a bright future after leading the Huskies to a bowl victory as the interim head coach in place of Sarkisian. He was a talented college quarterback who earned Pac-10 Offensive Player of the Year and Rose Bowl MVP honors at UW.
Finally, Drevno is a major acquisition coming from the San Francisco 49ers and Stanford. Working under Jim Harbaugh since his days at San Diego, Drevno's offensive lines have earned a reputation for physicality, including all five of his starters making the 2012 Pro Bowl.
In addition to naming three more assistants, Sarkisian publicly defined roles for Clay Helton (offensive coordinator and quarterbacks), Tee Martin (wide receivers), Johnny Nansen (running backs and special teams), Peter Sirmon (recruiting coordinator and linebackers) and Keith Heyward (defensive backs).
