- All-American WR Marqise Lee is going to play Saturday vs. UCLA, and RB Silas Redd is "likely to play" as well, Ed Orgeron reported. So, it is all hands on deck for the Bruins.
- The Trojans' seniors continued a tradition of wearing their high school jerseys to the final padded practice of the season. Devon Kennard did not have his high school jersey, so he wore his U.S. Army All-American jersey. "I'm actually around the same weight," said Kennard when asked about the fit. "A little more muscular."
- The Trojans do not need any more more motivation to beat the Bruins after last year's game. Orgeron described Saturday as "a huge game", while Dion Bailey said, "This is the one game that you do not want to lose."
- Senior captain Devon Kennard summed up the rivalry game saying, "It is the battle of LA. They don't like us, and we don't like them. It is going to be a great game."
- Senior Demetrius Wright is hoping the stars have aligned for a big finish to his career. "Everything is playing out the best way for me. It is in the Coliseum. They beat us last year, so we get a chance to get some payback. It would feel real nice," Wright said about beating the Bruins.
- Kennard described UCLA QB Brett Hundley as "bigger, faster, stronger" than the other mobile quarterbacks the Trojans have faced this season. "Defensively, we have to stop their run game and their quarterback," he said. "They have a really good quarterback. He can move around in the pocket and make explosive plays, so we've got to contain him. If we can do that, I like our chances."
- Orgeron has not restricted the team's diet or food intake for Thanksgiving. "I'm going to eat a lot myself," he said. "Let them eat all they want and have fun."
- The team will enjoy dinner together tonight at The Cheesecake Factory. "They love it, and so do I," Orgeron said with a smile.
