No. 4 USC women's volleyball hit a pothole on its path to a Pac-12 title losing two of three matches heading into a daunting Bay Area road trip.
However, the Women of Troy responded to the challenge and followed a five-set win over Stanford with a four-set triumph at Cal. The Trojans swept the regular season series from Stanford and Cal for the first time since 2003, and only the third time ever.
In the latest victory, sophomore Samantha Bricio paced the Women of Troy with 14 kills, 5 aces and 8 blocks. For her effort, she was named the Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week, while senior Natalie Hagglund was named Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week.
