RHP Ryan Cook and LHP Tommy Milone are expected to play important roles for the Oakland A's. The AL West champions will host the Detroit Tigers to start the ALDS.
Cook (pictured) pitched to a 2.54 ERA out of the A's bullpen, while Milone went 12-9 in 26 starts with a 4.14 ERA.
In the National League, Nick Buss got a late season call-up for the NL West champion Dodgers, but he is unlikely to make the postseason roster for the NLDS. J.P. Howell, who split his college career between USC and Texas, will be a lefty out of the pen for L.A. after going 4-1 with a 2.03 ERA this season.
