
Four Trojans Named To 2013 U.S. WUG Team

The four Trojans, who earned their spots on the squad at the 2012 U.S. Open in August, will be among 39 American swimmers who will compete at the 2013 World University Games, July 10-16, in Kazan, Russia.
Hawthorne, sixth in the 400m IM at the Olympic Trials and a 2012 All-American, won the race at the 2012 U.S. Open in 4:40.43 to earn her spot on the WUG team. She was also third in the 200m IM (2:13.71).
Kropp, third in the 200m breast at the Olympic Trials, finished second in the race at the U.S. Open in 2:25.40. She was also seventh in the 100m breast (1:10.10) and 10th in the 200m IM (2:15.69).
Tosky, seventh at the Olympic Trials in the 200m IM and 11th in both the 100m fly and 200m free, was second in the 200m fly (2:08.91), third in the 100m fly (59.45) and fifth in the 200m free (1:59.70) at the U.S. Open.
Stewart, who had a pair of top 30 finishes at the Olympic Trials, took fourth in the 200m back (2:11.53) at the U.S. Open in 2:11.53.
