Four for Maxwell

As the preseason hype continues to get ramped up, USC finds itself with more names than any other program on the Maxwell Award watch list, which identifies the premier players in the nation. The core quartet of QB Matt Barkley, WR Robert Woods, WR Marqise Lee and RB Curtis McNeal made the list of preseason nominees.

Three USC Heisman winning running backs, O.J. Simpson, Charles White and Marcus Allen, doubled up to win the Maxwell Award in the same season.

McNeal is expected to carry the backfield load in 2012.
