Comparison - He is wearing Stanley Havili's old number and has similar running skills, but needs to progress as a receiver to match the previous No. 31. Vainuku has already displayed a tremendous work ethic.
Prep Career - He ran for 2,202 yards and 38 touchdowns in 2009 before sitting out 2010 to concentrate on qualifying academically for USC.
Spring Ball - Vainuku has been at Troy since spring 2010, and he has improved dramatically in the last year. He is entrenched as the starting fullback going into fall camp and could contribute as a short yardage runner.
