Zito Gets the Ball

USC alum Barry Zito will start Game 1 of the World Series tonight for the San Francisco Giants at AT&T Park. The southpaw was an NLCS hero by spurring the comeback with 7.2 innings of shutout ball in Game 5.

The former Cy Young winner has a stellar postseason record going 6-3 with a 2.96 ERA for the Athletics and Giants.

Zito went 12-3 for the Trojans in 1999.
