USC women's volleyball outside hitter Samantha Bricio was named the AVCA National Player of the Week. She is only the second Trojan freshman to ever win the award.

Bricio joins the illustrious club of seven Trojans to earn National Player of the Week honors. Three-time All-American April Ross, who had her jersey retired Sunday, is the only other freshman to do it at USC.
