After goals in the Women's World Cup final and semifinal, Cal alum Alex Morgan is the rising star of U.S. women's soccer, but she was bested by a Trojan last fall.
Morgan netted three goals against the Trojans in a stunning 13 minute stretch last October, but USC won the game 5-4 in overtime behind then freshman Elizabeth Eddy's hat trick.
Now a sophomore, Eddy is part of the core of Ali Khosroshahin's talented 2011 roster, which kicks off camp August 3. They open the season on August 19 at McAlister Field versus Long Beach State.
