First, the U.S. Davis Cup showdown went the way of the Spaniards, but USC star Steve Johnson undoubtedly gained valuable experience preparing Andy Roddick, Mardy Fish and the Bryan brothers for battle.
The photo below was tweeted out by the Bryans, who are Stanford alums just like the man in the middle, Bradley Klahn.
Johnson is returning for his Senior year in the hopes of matching Stanford's Paul Goldstein's feat of four NCAA team titles in four years. The Bryan brothers contributed to two of those national crowns before turning pro.
And second, you can likely see Johnson next at the Farmers Classic at UCLA starting July 25. The collegiate singles champ is hoping to earn a wild card into the event or he'll go through the qualification process.
