Oropesa went 9-for-17 over the week's four games and earned Pac-10 Player of the Week honors for his effort.
The baseball team hosts former head coach Mike Gillespie and #15 UC-Irvine Tuesday afternoon (3 p.m. first pitch) at Dedeaux Field before a weekend road trip to Berkeley to play the Cal Bears in the final year before their program shuts down.
