Congratualtions to former USC women's volleyballers April Ross and Jennifer Kessy, who won today's AVP Huntington Beach Open. The duo beat Misty May-Treanor and Nicole Branagh in three sets, scoring the last 5 points in the third set for the 14-21, 21-12, 15-11 victory. It was their first-ever beach volleyball victory in Southern California.
And it was the pair's third win in the past 30 days, with FIVB wins in Shanghai and Rome also on their resume. No wonder they currently are the world's No. 1 ranked team.
