Clarke wins 100m Hurdles To Lead USC At Occidental

Shalina Clarke won the women's 100m hurdles and the men's middle distance runners had a strong day leading a small group of Trojans competing at the Occidental Invitational held in Los Angeles on May 8.
Clarke won the 100m HH with a time of 13.28, just off her season-best time of 13.21, while Andreas Bezamat-Homer took 17th in the men's 800m race with a PR of 1:52.26, Aaron Adkins finished 21st in the 800m with a season-best time of 1:52.84 and John Carley placed 12th in the men's 1500m race with a PR of 3:52.27.
Other USC women competing on the day were: Kira Davis-Quarrie in the 100m (20th - 12.88), Elizabeth Olear in the 400m (1st collegiate finisher - 53.82), Elan Hilaire in the 400m (6th - 57.52), Allison Rojewski in the 800m (11th - 2:17.37), redshirt Kelly Owen running unattached in the 800m (13th - 2:18.26), Jasmine Knight in the pole vault (no height), Ekene Anene in the triple jump (2nd - 39-5.75), Candace Bailey in the triple jump (6th - 36-5.75), Kathryn Daniels in the hammer throw (10th - 151-5) and Devon Rennie in the javelin throw (7th - 119-5).
Trojan males also competing at Occidental were: Amechi Egbe in the 100m (7th - 10.81), Tony Burnett in the 100m (19th - 11.05) and triple jump (4th - 48-4.75), Sean Jackson in the 200m (15th - 22.31), Terence Abram in the 200m (16th - 22.43), Dijon Morrisette in the 400m (50.05), Oscar Spurlock in the 110m HH (4th - 14.04), Duane Walker in the 400m IH (4th - season-best 52.48), Reggie Wyatt in the 400m IH (13th - 55.36), Abe Markowitz in the shot put (5th - 52-7.25), Alex Adams in the shot put (8th - 50-8.00), Tyler Grady in the discus throw (19th - 124-7), Peter Yobo in the javelin throw (11th - 159-8) and Billy Buffington in the javelin throw (15th - 127-8).
