Coaches have been in and out of staff meetings all morning, reaching the midpoint of their first full week in the office since Lane Kiffin was announced as USC's head coach exactly four weeks ago. With recruiting all of January and a funky week surrounding Signing Day last week, coaches have been intermittently at Heritage Hall over the last 28 days, so this week has served as a welcomed orientation of sorts.
February -- post-Signing Day -- is traditionally the quietest month for the Trojan football machine, as players churn through offseason workouts and coaches use the time to scout 2010 opponents and script out Spring Practice.
