USC will be all business this weekend.
During their 48-hour stay in Columbus, Ohio, the Trojans won't be doing any sightseeing or tourist activities, instead devoting all their time to practices, walk-thrus, meetings and rest. It's the same routine the team employs for all its road trips, which prevents the Trojans from getting a local flavor but forces them to remain focused on the game -- the reason for the trip in the first place.
Coach Carroll has made road trips strictly business since the team's journey to Notre Dame in 2001, when the Trojans spent some of their Friday afternoon touring the College Football Hall of Fame. USC lost the game the next day, and ever since, Carroll has kept the team to a methodical, professional mindset on road trips.
